The 1975 Community Christmas Tree Lighting program was partnered with the Adventure Bound series and featured Bill Bowman performing Christmas music on the organ. His program was entitled, "Jingle All the Way: A Musical History of Christmas Tunes." He was joined by wife Sally Bowman and daughter Julie Bowman on one of the songs. Paul Zimmerman, president of the library board of trustees, presented the tree to James Dillon, president of the Alliance Chamber of Commerce. The ornaments were created by senior citizens and featured a bicentennial theme. The tree was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Reese.
